In Vitro ADMET

Albany Molecular Research Inc. (AMRI) conducts in vitro ADMET assays to evaluate and improve metabolism, bioavailability, pharmacology and toxicology of compounds.

Early stage ADMET testing, integrated with Medicinal Chemistry programs, typically include:

  • Aqueous solubility under physiological conditions
  • Metabolic and chemical stability
  • Membrane permeability (PAMPA, Caco-2, etc.)
  • Inhibition of major metabolic enzymes (CYP450s)

Additional ADMET studies include numerous analytical services, as well as:

  • Metabolite profiling
  • Metabolite mass balance and isolation from urine, blood, feces, etc.
  • Metabolite structure elucidation
  • Metabolite synthesis
  • Animal species selection
  • CYP phenotyping
  • Induction of major CYP isoforms
  • Enhanced PAMPA & cell-based permeability models
  • Plasma protein binding
  • Cytotoxicity assays against human cell lines
  • Reactive metabolite evaluation
  • Time-dependent inhibition of CYP isoforms
  • Ames Tests for mutagenicity
  • Tissue and biological fluid extractions
  • Bioanalytical Method Development
  • Bioanalytical Studies

  • InVitro ADMET testing is tightly integrated with Medicinal Chemistry
  • Services are cost-competitive, while offering a higher level of support and quality
